Monday Must: Refill Worthy Holiday Drinks

WE’RE GEARING UP FOR OUR UPCOMING ZOOM HOLIDAY PARTY! WITH THAT IN MIND, A FESTIVE DRINK IN HAND IS A MUST AND WE’VE BEEN CHATTING ABOUT WHAT OUR GO-TO’S ARE. WE WANTED TO SHARE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT JOY WITH ALL OF YOU - FROM CLASSICS TO UNIQUE DRINKS FIND THEM ALL HERE.

There’s nothing like cozying up to a seasonal drink or enjoying it with your loved ones. Whatever it may be we’ve listed out our * must * try holiday drinks. Our team mostly enjoy classics but we threw in some unexpected recipes in there to inspire you! You’ll definitely have something good in your cup this holiday!

Mulled Wine

Helen’s pick is some spiced up wine, “I’m all about it, I stick to the classic recipe and throw everything into a slow cooker! I like to add an extra cinnamon stick, use maple syrup as the sweetener and leave it on low throughout the evening so everyone can refill their glasses with warm mulled wine.” Here’s the recipe to for a slow cooker mulled wine!

Hot Chocolate

“Honestly I am a hugeeee hot cocoa person,” D chose a classic that both kids and adults can enjoy. She says, “heat your milk on the stove or in a frother then add some chunks of dark chocolate and a lil crushed up peppermint!!!” You can also top it off with some whipped cream, marshmallows, or cinnamon. We found a video on how to make a solid cup of hot chocolate (alcohol free) for you and your loved ones!

Rum n Nog

Terry’s go-to is a traditional rum and eggnog cocktail, “well it doesn't get better than rum n eggnog - and of course, there are so many choice for the nog now ... almond, coconut, traditional Egg! And it isn't complete without a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. Just sayin'....” She’s right! If you’d like you can plop on some whipped cream on this one too, but we like to go without. Spice it up and sub your rum with rumchata - take a look at this recipe to figure out how!

Mary is also team eggnog rum, but swapped out the standard eggnog for a coconut nog! Here’s a recipe on how to make it all from scratch (you can also buy coconut eggnog at your local grocery store if starting from scratch isn’t for you).

Baileys Coffee

For the caffeine addicts, who just can’t get enough of that good good bean water. We recommend a simple Baileys coffee - we found this recipe that gives you two ways of making it. Iced or hot, it’s up to you!

Tea and Cider Punch

If you’re looking for a lighter drink that still gives you that warm and cozy feeling - try this tea and cider punch recipe. Made with apple cider, black tea, and bourbon, this drink is bound to warm you right up. You can also do without the bourbon and keep it family friendly so that anyone can enjoy it.
