March: Forgiveness
The act of forgiveness is not easy. Whether it's forgiving yourself or someone else - forgiveness requires us to relive the experience, understand it, and then, finally, heal from it. It's easier said than done, the negative emotions that hold you back from letting go can be overwhelming. Forgiveness is required in situations that can be as small as the guilt from taking a break that's longer than you intended or hurt from a conflict with a loved one. Practicing forgiveness requires self-love. Forgiving ourselves and others is to release any lingering resentment and any negative feelings that no longer serve us.
For March’s monthly intention, join us in practicing forgiveness. Every week on Sunday, we’ll be sharing info and activities on what it means to forgive.
WEEK 1: WRITE YOURSELF AN APOLOGY
WEEK 2: FIND SELF COMPASSION
WEEK 3: LET GO OF THE PAST
WEEK 4: START FRESH
If you’ve made it through another monthly intention with us - congrats! Take 5 to reflect on this month. Don’t forget, if there’s a topic you’d like us to build a monthly intention around, send us an email or leave a comment.
Prompts:
-
Were you able to move through each of the broad stages this month? If not, which stage(s) are you spending more time on?
-
What do you find is the most difficult part of self-forgiveness?
-
Was this a process that felt good to experience alone or would you like more support from others in this journey?
