Article: February: Love

February: Love

Growing up, February was exclusive to romantic love, lonely singles, and sweets (discounted or full price depending on your relationship status). It was in the magazines, the rom-coms, and tv shows. Now, this isn’t true. We’ve begun to see the value in non-romantic love - whether it be in friendships, between family or with ourselves.

Love is arguably the most complex feeling that we experience in life and it comes in so many different forms. We seek it and we celebrate it when we can. This month we want to focus on love and look at ways for us to explore non-romantic relationships, how we show love to ourselves and to our loved ones.

WEEK ONE: KNOW YOUR LOVE LANGUAGES

WEEK TWO: PLATONIC FRIENDSHIPS

WEEK THREE: WRITE A LOVE LETTER TO YOURSELF

WEEK FOUR: SEXUAL WELLNESS

We’ve only scratched the surface this month. If you’ve been following along then take five to ten minutes to reflect on this month’s intention. Self-love and self-growth is a journey. It’s helpful to know where we’re at by checking in on ourselves.

So grab a pen and paper and answer the following reflection prompts.

Reflection Prompts:

1. In what ways can I create more love for myself on a daily basis? Weekly? Monthly?

2. What aspects of love and sexual wellness do I want to learn more about? Which topics or practices do I want to do again?

3. How do I want to show love to my loved ones moving forward? What do I want to continue doing and what do I want to change?

We’ll see you next month with our new monthly intention! Is there a topic you’d like to explore? Send us a message through our submit page.
